Documentary

As part of my professional life as well as my MA in Wildlife Documentary Production, I have produced several short documentaries. Although I have been trained in the entire production process, my two areas of focus are producing and sound design.

We are BTO Youth is about the work that BTO’s Youth Volunteers have achieved since its inception in 2020. The film was commissioned for BTO Youth and entirely filmed, directed and edited by one of our Youth Volunteers, Alicia Hayden.

The Plight of the Javan Slow Loris tells the story of the Critically Endangered Javan slow loris in the village of Cipaganti, West-Java. The film was made as part of my role at the Little Fireface Project and in collaboration with Spires Media.

Life in Concrete was filmed as my final submission to the MA in Wildlife Documentary Production. The short film follows the lives of an eclectic family of black-tufted marmosets, Callithrix penicillata, living in the heart of Belo Horizonte.

This short film, Of Mice and Men, was part of an assignment of the MA in Wildlife Documentary Production. The task was to create a sequence that focused on one particular aspect of camera work; in this case, working with small, fast-moving mammals.

In The Art of Flying we follow the training of a range of birds at the International Centre for Birds of Prey. This film was made as part of the MA in Wildlife Documentary Production, where the task was to focus on the relationship between animal and human.
